MAJOR AIRPORTS

Northeastern Connecticut is served by four major airports. The location of each is marked on the accompanying map. Worcester Regional Airport (1) in Worcester, MA is approximately 30 miles to the north. Logan International Airport (2) in Boston, MA is approximately 70 miles to the northeast. T.F. Green Airport (3) in Warwick, RI is approximately 30 miles to the east. Bradley International Airport (4) in Windsor Locks, CT is approximately 70 miles to the west. All have direct or connecting flights to major cities as well as air freight facilities.

DANIELSON AIRPORT

Danielson Airport (5) is located in Killingly. It is owned by the State of Connecticut and is operated by a private management company that offers flight instruction and aircraft rentals, charters, sales, hanger space, tie-downs, and maintenance. Danielson Airport has a 2,700 foot long by 75 foot wide paved runway (marked 13-31), one instrument approach, and a Pilot Controlled Light (PCL) system for non-daylight hours (Beacon C&G, MRL lights controlled by Unicom). The airport can accommodate twin turbine engine aircraft. The runway is in the process of being lengthened.
